Hematology markets two types of recombinant Factor VIII for hemophilia patients, a standard type and one that has an extended half-life. Women’s Healthcare supports the quality of life for women across many life stages by offering a contraceptive and treatments for dysmenorrhea, hypermenorrhea, pain associated with endometriosis, and menopausal symptoms. Ophthalmology seeks to protect the vision of eye patients and thus help them continue living quality lives by providing a medication for retinal diseases such as wet age-related macular degeneration, which is on the rise in Japan and Western countries. Radiology supplies contrast agents, automated injectors, and accessories for X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound diagnostic imaging, and also focuses on medical information systems.
