Bayer Yakuhin R&D Headquarters is working on strategic drug development by accurately grasping the current and future medical needs of Japan and participating in global development plans at an early stage to realize the world simultaneous application and approval of innovative products.


In addition, the Open Innovation Center is promoting activities to connect Japanese academia with Bayer’s drug discovery and the use of digital solutions.

To supply sufficient food for growing populations. We believe that innovation is the key to future agriculture. We challenge ourselves to solve problems we face through new technologies such as digital agriculture, precision agriculture, and breeding technologies. The Crop Science division has around 7,000 employees* engaged in R&D worldwide, including the Development Center in Ibaraki Prefecture and the Agronomic Technology Station West Japan in Kochi Prefecture.


In order to develop and market the most suitable agricultural chemicals for Japan, relevant authorities, producers using agricultural chemicals, and our in-house safety evaluation departments are working together to develop safe and reliable products.
